Our clients had a desire to be able to walk around the entire house on pathways and not get dirt on their shoes. They needed the landscape to be low maintenance and low water but wanted to have attractive plantings. I designed a narrow gauge railroad tie pathway, flagstone sitting areas, boulder retainer walls, sunken fire pit, boulder steps and native trees, shrubs and perennial wildflowers.
